Mrs. Mostyn's Classroom Expectations

1.      All students will be polite and respect the rights and property of others.

2.    Students will follow all general rules of the school.

3.    Test or quiz grades below 70% will be signed by parents.

4.    Students will come to class on time and with necessary materials.

5.    Homework is to be ready at the beginning of class.  Missing assignments are expected to be completed but will not receive any points.

Interventions

1.      Students will be asked to explain, justify, or correct their behavior.

2.    Students may be denied privileges and/or parents will be notified.

3.    Students may be asked to complete assignments after school.

4.    A check may be given on student’s report card.

5.   The principal may be notified if above interventions are not successful.

Homework Expectations

• Both written homework and studying for upcoming tests should be written in your assignment notebook.
• Assignments should be completed and ready to turn in at the beginning of class.  Otherwise they will not be accepted and students will get a zero on the assignment.  This does not apply to missing assignments due to absence.  Students will be given two days for each day out of school to make up work.
• Assignments are to written in cursive on clean paper with the standard heading on the top.
• Papers that are crumpled, dirty, ripped out of a spiral notebook, or appear to have been at the bottom of the backpack will not be accepted. 
• Assignments should be written in pencil, blue pen, or black pen.  Do not switch halfway through the paper.
