Service Learning

Accessories or necessities, the eighth graders sewed a record number of hats and scarves for the homeless adults and children. Students combined printed and solid fleece fabrics for creative, up to date, winter wear. Check Gallery IV for pictures.

 

“Green” Resolutions

 

Find a way to go green in each of the following rooms of your house.

·      Kitchen – recycle cereal boxes.

·      Living area – use door draft dodgers to keep out the cold winter air.

·      Bedroom – save gym shoes for Nike recycling project.

·      Home office – shred documents.

·      Basement/garage – contact a chemical waste collection center before throwing away items.

 

 

 

Power Period

It will be difficult for the sixth graders to forget reading the astonishing adventures of Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy this semester.  They will integrate the enlightening vocabulary from the Chronicles of Narnia into a variety of other activities.  A new novel a waits next quarter!
