Welcome to Mrs. Broadbent’s First Grade
I would like to introduce myself. My name is Mrs. Lin Broadbent. I will be your child’s teacher this
year. First grade is a very important
and exciting experience in your child’s life.
He/She will learn to become more independent and responsible. We will be learning many new things in
reading, writing, math, science, social studies and computers.
It is very important for you to be supportive and
encouraging of your child. Keep track of
your child’s progress by reviewing his/her work, which will come home each week
in the “Friday Folder”. If you see
mistakes go over them with your child.

at least twice each day.
I am looking forward to having your child in my class and
