Students will be able to discuss the causes and effects of the various conflicts of the 19^th, 20^th an 21^st centuries from an American stand point.

Students will gain a better understanding of American society from the Civil War era into modern times.

8^th graders will analyze and discuss events of an ever-changing global society.
