Hobbies


Away from the school and outside of work hours Mr. Jobe has developed, working with a small and ever changing team of collaborators, twenty-nine educational software titles over the past eight years. These titles are used in homes and schools in all 50 states and almost four dozen foreign countries including (in no certain order): Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Belgium, Sweden, France, Japan, Norway, Phillippines, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Gabon, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Hong Kong, Bermuda, Turkey, Taiwan, South Africa, Greece, Austria, Singapore, Portugal, Spain, Iceland, Thailand, India, Ireland, Chile, Luxembourg, Hungary, Brunei, Indonesia, Brazil, Poland, Nicaragua, Czech Republic, Republic of Maldives, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia.

December 2008 - The PowerSchool Parent Portal pilot program has started. For more information see http://www.norridge80.org/powerschool/parents.htm

October 2008 - Due to the flooding at Leigh School; jr. high at Leigh will be using the mobile lab as their "main lab". Although the lab area did get a lot of water the computers were not damaged by the flooding and have been redistributed one or two per classroom around the school.

May 2008 - The new tech plan has been approved by external peer review committee. This means that we will be eligible to apply for grants and programs which require an approved tech plan for the duration of the plan (3 years).

                            * Gifted Education is not a regular teaching endorsement in Illinois. Endorsement means that a person has met all requirements needed to receive state funding for teaching Gifted Education.
                            The requirements for this special endorsement are currently much lower than other regular endorsements.
