Text Box: What are ‘related services’?
Related services include, but are not limited to, social work, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech/language services. These focus on areas other than academics that may impact a child’s learning.

Text Box: Who is on my child’s ‘Team’?
Providing support services is a team approach. The child’s team includes YOU, the parent, as well as school staff members – general education teachers, special education teachers, social workers, principals, school psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, reading specialists, speech/language therapists, etc. It is our job to work TOGETHER to provide your child the best opportunities for education and success.
Text Box: Why so many meetings?
Each child with an IEP has to have an annual review. This occurs every year to update goals and discuss the student’s progress. Additionally, every three years, students need to have a re-evaluation to determine their continued need for services. Before re-evaluation occurs, a domain meeting is held to decide what areas to test.
